Mark your calendars for next year's Annual Cherry Blossom Walks, Fun Runs, and Pooch Prances for Breast Cancer in Ashburn and Middleburg on: September 28, 2014.
Many of you know that for several yearsour Foundation has funded the breast care navigator at Lake Manassas Cancer Center and that we selected her as a 2012 Cherry Blossom Champion. The Cancer Center is a partnership between Fauquier Hospital and Novant Health which has Prince William Hospital in Manassas and the new Haymarket Hospital.
Novant Health has just informed the Cherry Blossom Breast Cancer Foundation that it has designated our Foundation as the beneficiary of up to $25,000 if Novant wins one of the prizes in the nation-wide Pink Glove Dance competition.
The Seventh Annual Cherry Blossom Walks, Fun Runs and Pooch Prances for Breast Cancer were held on Sunday, Sept 29, 2013 and the results have been tallied ... This year was the most successful of all seven years! The 7th annual Cherry Blossom Walks, Fun Runs, and Pooch Prances raised almost $80,000 and had a total of 770 participants at both the Middleburg and Ashburn locations.

The Foxcroft School community, led by Associate Head of School Sheila McKibbin, Athletic Director Michelle Woodruff, and a band of student and faculty family volunteers, puts on a "Think Pink Basketball Tournament" every winter to raise money for the Cherry Blossom Breast Cancer Foundation.
The School recently announced that the fifth annual tournament will take place Saturday, January 11, 2014. Put it on your calendars now!
